The TEAL Program offers six week citizenship preparation classes and short-term citizenship preparation workshops.
Citizenship Preparation Classes
- Citizenship eligibility and the application process are explained
- Participants will review the history of the U.S., the U.S. Constitution, and government
- Opportunity provided to practice the English needed for the citizenship application and interview
- Classes meet 8 consecutive Saturdays and are available in Springfield and Beardstown
Citizenship Preparation Weekend Workshops
- Intensive instruction at a higher level for individuals who are close to taking the citizenship interview
- Participants will review the U.S. Constitution, U.S. history and government, and practice the U.S. citizenship interview process
- Available in Springfield, Jacksonville and Beardstown on scheduled weekends
