Partnership for College and Career Success
2008 LLCC Students

Welcome!

Today's jobs demand more knowledge and high levels of skill than ever before. They require people who have solid academics, technical proficiency, productive work habits, problem-solving skills, communication skills and the ability to think logically and work in teams.

The majority of these jobs require education beyond high school, with knowledge and skills learned in college courses, technical schools, internships or other worksite experiences or apprenticeships.

The Lincoln Land Partnership for College and Career Success (PCCS) is a "high school-plus" program that prepares students for these high skill, high-wage careers. PCCS is a progressive education program connecting high school studies to at least two years of postsecondary study. Learn more>>

What Happened to Tech Prep?

Tech Prep consortia was renamed "Partnerships for College and Career Success" (PCCS) as part of the collaboration between the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) and the Illinois Community College Board (ICCB) in an effort to encourage collaborative work between the secondary and postsecondary levels and support the implementation of Programs of Study (POS). The change was effective July 1, 2008. Reflecting the Perkins IV guidelines, Title II funding which supports the Partnerships for College and Career Success will be directed toward the development, implementation and assessment of Programs of Study and career pathways.
