What does the Partnership for College and Career Success (PCCS) offer students?
PCCS.....
....is a program that links educational and career goals together so students can get the training they need to go on to high paying, highly skilled jobs.
....gets students in high school to start thinking about what career they would like to have after college.
....helps to make the move to college as easy as possible
PCCS is college prep. The Partnership offers a program of study which begins in high school, continues at a post-secondary institution and culminates in a Certificate, an Associates degree, two-year certificate, two year apprenticeship. The program may also articulate from a community college to a four-year baccalaureate degree and beyond. PCCS is designed for students who are interested in pursuing careers in technical fields.
Why PCCS Makes $ense
Save Time -- Save Money
The level of education and training needed for jobs today has increased dramatically from previous decades. Most high-paying careers today require education beyond high school.
PCCS gives students a career focus for their education. Students can set their sights on a career, discover what it takes to get there and begin preparing for a successful future while still in high school.
The transition from high school to postsecondary education is smoother because of the sequential progression of course work. These career sequences give students the opportunity to earn college credits while in high school, thereby saving tuition dollars and completing career requirements sooner.
