Lincoln Land Community College HIREEducation programs began in 2007 with grant funds that enabled the department to purchase equipment and to support training costs for a construction program aligned with union partnerships. The Highway Construction Career Program (HCCPT) program is now in its seventh year and provides an excellent opportunity for those looking to begin a career as a union apprentice.
The HIREEducation offerings have expanded in the recent years but many of the programs are still supported through funds from local, state and federal grants. Programs are designed to assist individuals who are in historically underrepresented populations, dislocated workers, previously incarcerated and those looking for a new career field as well as those who are looking to increase their skill levels in their current career.
If you are uncertain about your career path and are interested in more details about the HIREEducation programs, the staff in the Workforce Development Department will be happy to talk with you about the options available to you!
