In today’s high-tech, high-skilled industrial and service environments, employers often struggle to hire the right employees. Many positions go unfilled due to a lack of qualified workers. LLCC’s Workforce Development and Applied Technology Department, housed in the Workforce Careers Center on the main campus in Springfield, is helping to bridge this gap.
Our state-of-the-art labs and equipment offer real-world, hands-on training. Our faculty and staff have extensive field experience and recognize how to teach the right skills for the job. Our curriculum is based on local business input that leads to a successful employee.
LLCC offers programs in hospitality and culinary arts, HVACR, welding, industrial technologies and mechatronics, commercial electrical maintenance, electrical lineman distribution, automotive tech, auto body, truck driving and construction occupations. We also offer training in renewable energies and for certified production technician (CPT), transportation distribution logistics (TDL), highway construction careers and other industry-recognized certifications.
LLCC’s Workforce Development and Applied Technology Department can also develop customized training programs. Businesses interested in assistance with increasing the skills of your current workforce should contact Judy Jozaitis at email@example.com or 217-786-2420.
