Quality sound is vital to the success of any performance. Musicians, actors, broadcasters and speakers all rely on top audio technicians for their live and recorded productions. LLCC’s program prepares students for this demanding and competitive industry. We teach students digital audio and sound design, music theory, music technology hardware and software, acoustics, MIDI sequencing, notation, songwriting and business essentials. Graduates can work for motion picture, video and sound recording industries; radio and television broadcasting; performing arts companies and more.

Audio production certificate courses have a standard tuition rate. For the 2021-2022 academic year (fall 2021, spring 2022 and summer 2022), these courses have an in-district rate of $134.50 per credit hour plus standard fees. Private applied music courses (including MUS 133) also have a private applied music fee of $250 per credit hour. Get more information on tuition and fees.
