Participants will learn how to access online tools for solar resource analysis, PV system performance calculators, and incentives.
This certificate provides skills training needed by professionals engaging consumers in renewable energy systems for their homes and businesses. Site assessors evaluate the energy consumption of a household or business, as well as the solar or wind resource at the location. They help clients understand system options and their benefits. They work with clients to recommend the site and size of the solar or wind system that will best fit their needs. Site assessors also estimate system production and identify the cost, incentives, and financing options available.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Use site assessment tools
- Size a PV system
