CFK Instructors/Volunteers

LLCC's College for Kids (CFK) classes provide fresh and fun subject matter to motivate children and keep them challenged and active throughout the year! Students can enroll in a variety of culinary, arts and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) classes. Courses are taught by experienced and motivated instructors who encourage and challenge students in an atmosphere that supports inquiry and exploration including lectures, group discussions and fun lab/hands-on activities.

What is summer College for Kids?

CFK is our summer enrichment program for students who have completed grades K-8. A variety of classes are offered during the month of July.

Summer classes are held Monday-Thursday, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Students choose four classes to attend throughout each weeklong session — exploring new interests, discovering exciting challenges or developing skills in a fun and exciting way!

Students attending our youth programs bring their curiosity, excitement and love of learning. Our instructors work hard to provide classes that are engaging and fun. And our CFK volunteers help to make the experiences positive for everyone involved! Whether it's an hour or an entire day's worth (8 a.m.-1 p.m.), we encourage you to give as much or as little time as you are able during one or more of our scheduled sessions.
