LLCC announces 2022 regional Academic Challenge winners

SPRINGFIELD — Winners have been announced in the regional Academic Challenge held Feb. 9 at Lincoln Land Community College. Approximately 90 students from six area high schools competed.
            
Teams advancing to sectional competition in March include: Division 300 (300 students or less) – Mt. Pulaski, Pawnee and Nokomis; Division 700 (301-700 students) – Pleasant Plains and Auburn; and Division 1500 (701-1,500 students) – Chatham Glenwood.

Thanks to support from the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers (ISPE), a $200 LLCC scholarship was awarded at the event to Coree Keagy from Nokomis High School, who was selected at random. 

The regional level competition at LLCC was sponsored by LLCC, Eastern Illinois University and the Capital Chapter of ISPE.
