Program Information:
This program prepares a student for a bachelor’s degree in psychology, providing a professional and scientific coverage of psychological phenomena, theories, concepts, research and practices related to human and animal behavior. Knowledge of psychological processes thus acquired promotes more effective coping in life and in the workplace, preparing students for employment in any job that requires understanding of human behavior.
- Serves the dual purposes of either preparing for a bachelor’s degree in psychology or to give students sufficient knowledge of psychological processes in order to live more effectively in today’s society.
- Students who are planning on teaching in a secondary school are required to have a specified ACT score or to take an alternative test (determined by the State of Illinois) prior to transferring to an upper-division institution. Students should contact their transfer institution for more specific information associated with possible tests required for advancement in that program and for more information associated with this.
