The question I am asked most often is, how will campus look this fall?
This fall, Lincoln Land Community College students will have more options on how they take their classes. Some students will be on campus, where we will be following all state safety guidelines, and others will learn from home. No matter what class formats* they choose – on campus, online or a mixture of the two – LLCC will welcome and offer them all of the support services for which we are known. These services include free tutoring, whether students take classes face-to-face or online, and financial aid counseling that ensures students receive all assistance for which they qualify to avoid unnecessary student debt.
Last March, we were able to quickly reinvent the college experience in order to get our students successfully through their courses, and we’re ready to do it again this fall if need be. Our faculty are well-versed in multiple ways of delivering classes and ready to face any challenges ahead. We’ve also greatly increased the number of online classes, just at the time we were named a top 10 online school in Illinois by the “Guide to Online Schools.”
For students looking for a new career, whether they are just starting out in the workforce or coming back to gain new skills, LLCC offers workforce certificate programs that can be completed in nine months or less. Courses in these certificate programs focus solely on the skills that lead to jobs, and general education courses are not required.
For transfer students, we offer 36 majors leading to associate degrees, some which can be completed entirely online, along with many general education courses that transfer easily to colleges and universities.
We are working very hard to provide a quality and safe experience this fall for students. We invite students to enroll and keep their education, their lives and the economic vitality of our community moving forward.
So my message today is, enroll this fall in LLCC for an excellent, affordable education. Feel confident that LLCC is the right choice for hands-on training and transfer courses and degrees. No matter what your ambitions and goals, we are here and ready to move you forward.
