There is a maximum amount of time for which a student may receive financial aid. Federal regulations allow a student to receive aid up to 150% of the length of their academic program. For example, if your academic program is 62 credit hours in length, you may receive aid for 150% of 62 credit hours, or 93 hours. When students reach or exceed this limit, they are not eligible for financial aid.
Students who have received an associate, bachelor’s or master’s degree will automatically be placed on the 150% limit and must appeal to receive additional financial aid.
