Virtual Information Sessions
LLCC will hold two virtual information sessions for MacMurray College students next week.
- Wednesday, April 8 from 2-3 p.m. at https://zoom.us/j/901051803
- Thursday, April 9 from 7-8 p.m. at https://zoom.us/j/301465826
No pre-registration is necessary.
Led by Keri Mason, director of LLCC-Jacksonville, the sessions will include an introduction/overview of LLCC and information on programs, degrees and certificates, costs, financial aid and scholarships. MacMurray students may ask questions and schedule appointments for individual meetings. LLCC success coaches, financial aid staff and a representative of the LLCC nursing program will also participate.
Transitioning to LLCC
Thank you for your interest in attending LLCC as you transition from MacMurray College. We are pleased to provide you an opportunity to stay local and save money with low tuition costs. LLCC will offer standard in-district tuition rates of $131.50 per credit hour for the 2020 summer term and $133.00 per credit hour for the 2020 fall semester to MacMurray students, regardless of their home addresses. (Note: some courses have a variable tuition rate in excess of the standard in-district tuition rate.)
LLCC offers a wide variety of majors, an Honors Program, Phi Theta Kappa and over 30 other student clubs and organizations. LLCC Student Life also works with the Student Government Association and Logger Activities Board to provide fun, educational, cultural, leadership development and co-curricular events throughout the academic year. Other support services to assist you on your educational journey include Student Success and the Center for Academic Success.
LLCC has a faculty to student ratio of 1:18. Our class sizes are small, and our faculty are focused on teaching and helping students succeed.

Designated personnel from the LLCC Outreach Center in downtown Jacksonville and the main campus in Springfield are ready to help MacMurray students who wish to continue their education through the sophomore level or in a career education program, in such fields as nursing, criminal justice, business, education and many more.

You are encouraged to apply for financial aid and list LLCC as soon as possible (if you have not already done so). LLCC financial aid comes in the form of grants, work-study and loans. If you have questions or need help filing, contact LLCC’s Financial Aid office at 217-786-2237.
Complete your FAFSA, and list LLCC (code 007170) in the college choice section. You will receive an email from the LLCC Financial Aid office once we receive your FAFSA information.

Student success coaches are available to help you reach your educational goals and can assist you in a variety of ways:
- Review how MacMurray College coursework will transfer to LLCC
- Learn about LLCC’s transfer associate degree programs, career/technical associate degree programs and certificate programs
- Develop an academic plan and find out which classes you will need to obtain your chosen certificate and/or degree
- Discuss course options for an upcoming semester
- Discuss LLCC support services
- Learn how easily LLCC courses and associate degrees transfer to other college/universities

Registering for classes
Your student success coach can assist you in selecting the best courses for your educational goals. We offer several registration options:
- Online registration via Logger Central (Your student success coach will help you set up your account.)
- In-person registration at LLCC’s Admission and Registration, located in Menard Hall on the Springfield campus or at any of our Outreach Centers (currently being handled remotely).

New Student Orientation
MacMurray College students are invited to participate in a New Student Orientation to assist in their transition to LLCC, but are not required to do so. New Student Orientation is also offered online.
Pay for your classes
You may set up a payment plan on WebAdvisor by selecting “tuition payment plan.” The tuition payment plan divides your tuition balance into affordable monthly payments. There is no interest, setup fees are affordable and it is easy to enroll.
Purchase your textbooks
Students can view and purchase required and optional course materials online. LLCC’s Bookstore has new, used, rental and eBooks for purchase depending on the course. They also offer book buyback at the end of each semester.

Summer 2020 session classes begin on Monday, June 8. Fall 2020 semester classes begin on Saturday, Aug. 22 with weekday classes beginning on Monday, Aug. 24. Enjoy Welcome Week events throughout the first week of classes.
