Due to the current workplace becoming increasingly globalized and the digital era breaking geographical barriers, many businesses are seeking multilingual employees who understand diverse cultures. Those with a degree in world languages can increase their employment marketability. Careers for multilinguals to consider include banking and finance, foreign correspondent, customer service, teacher and court interpreter, in addition to many others. LLCC’s World Languages program prepares students to enter the 21st century workforce by developing the skills of speaking other languages and understanding other cultures. Our program is oriented toward the actual use of language through sequential training in listening, speaking, reading and writing. The program is appropriate for students intending to obtain a bachelor’s degree in foreign language.
