Who doesn’t love a fair? While career fairs aren’t the kind where you’re likely to find cotton candy or Ferris wheels, they hold even better opportunities. They are great ways to network, explore job opportunities and plan for the future.

Lincoln Land Community College is committed to strengthening our communities. This includes fostering success for both students and employers. One significant way we accomplish this is by bringing people together — facilitating connections between our students and employers through career fairs hosted on our campus.

Career fairs are valuable learning opportunities for students to enhance essential skills. These events serve as platforms for students to establish connections with professionals in their respective industries, including alumni who have already forged paths in their fields. Moreover, career fairs provide avenues to explore job or internship openings. Students gain insights into emerging industry trends and the future careers that await them.

Employers benefit from career fairs as they gain access to students trained in high-demand skills and increase brand visibility. These events serve as crucial platforms for employers to identify top talent and showcase their organizations. Through face-to-face interactions, employers not only establish connections with students but also contribute to the development of essential skills that are highly sought after in the workforce.

LLCC has the following career fairs planned for this spring in Springfield:

  • Nursing Career Fair – Thursday, April 11, 2024, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
    • LLCC’s nursing program hosts a highly anticipated career fair each spring and fall semester, providing students with opportunities to connect with leading health care providers and explore diverse pathways within the nursing profession. Due to the overwhelming interest and limited space available, early registration is strongly encouraged.
