Program Information:

  • Successful completion of the Cultivation program will provide students with required knowledge, skills, and certifications to obtain an entry level position in the landscaping, turf, and plant production industries. This program covers topics including plant growth and identification, soils, fertilizers, and pest management. The Cultivation certificate incorporates both classroom and hands on learning in the Kreher Agriculture Center, on campus, and in the community. Careers upon graduation include landscape installers, turf and landscape maintenance, pest control, nursery worker, and local foods and specialty crop production.

    This applied science program of study must be taken in its entirety to meet certificate requirements.
