Program Information:
This degree offers a wide variety of coursework from basic composition and communications to explorations of literature. This coursework helps students to write effectively, creatively, and provide students with the necessary groundwork for transfer to a four-year university.

- Students who are planning on teaching in a secondary school are required to have a specified ACT score or to take an alternative test (determined by the State of Illinois) prior to transferring to an upper-division institution. Students should contact their transfer institution for more specific information associated with possible tests required for advancement in that program and for more information associated with this.
