Transfer Program

Colleague Code: AS.PHYS

Curriculum Code: ASD 101

Program Information:

This suggested listing of courses that fulfills the requirements for earning an AS at LLCC, is designed to prepare students for transfer with junior status to four-year schools in Illinois to pursue a bachelor’s degree in physics or physical science.
  • This program is intended for students planning to earn a bachelor’s degree in physics or some closely related area.
  • Since program requirements vary among the four-year schools, the above courses are only suggested guidelines. Students are strongly encouraged to explore the specific program requirements of the four-year schools they are considering for their transfer, as they make their course selections for their first two years of study at LLCC. Additionally, LLCC advisors, faculty members, and deans are also sources of helpful advice.
  • Although not required to earn the A.S. degree, students should consider taking CSC 175 during the summer or during a lighter semester to better prepare for a seamless transfer to a 3rd year physics program.
