Accreditation through Open Pathway
Open Pathway is LLCC’s path to maintaining its accreditation. Through participation in this process, we strive to infuse the principles of continuous improvement into the college culture through ongoing improvement activities that support our primary mission – helping students learn. Results of those improvement activities are documented and reported back to the Commission to evidence meeting the Criteria for Accreditation. The Commission will then use this evidence in the process of reaffirming LLCC’s accreditation.
The ten-year Open Pathway cycle includes two Assurance Argument submissions and one Quality Initiative.
Years 1-3: Prepare/Update the Year 4 Assurance Filing
Year 4: Assurance Review
Years 5-7: Quality Initiative Proposal and Update the Assurance Filing
Years 7-9: Quality Initiative Report and Finalize the Year 10 Assurance Filing
Year 10: Comprehensive Evaluation for Reaffirmation of Accreditation
