Studying philosophy provides you with transferable skills that can be utilized in a variety of careers. Philosophy emphasizes reasoning, argumentation, analysis and critical-thinking skills, which are valuable in business, counseling, economics, law, management, ministry, public policy, market and survey research, and other fields. LLCC’s program is designed for students who plan to obtain a bachelor’s degree in philosophy. Depending on a student’s career choice, an advanced degree may be needed in some career areas such as law, economics, political science and postsecondary education.
