CWE

Earn college credit while gaining valuable work experience!

The Cooperative Work Experience (CWE) is a program that allows LLCC students to earn college credit while gaining work experience for paid or unpaid internships, or for paid employment.

CWE participants are responsible for identifying, applying, interviewing and obtaining their own job or internship placements. To be eligible for CWE, students must have completed 12 college credits.

Past participants have benefited greatly from the CWE program as they have developed and achieved learning objectives that have helped to prepare them for future career opportunities.

During your CWE experience, you will:

  • Be challenged to take on new work responsibilities or projects.
  • Learn new and advanced skills to help you refine your professional abilities.
  • Gain professional work experience that can set you apart from your competition in the future.
  • Explore career goals, and reflect upon your progress toward meeting these goals.
  • Network and learn from professional mentors who may be able to serve as references in the future.
  • Build your resume, and develop social capital.
  • Earn academic credit toward degree completion.
