Federal Work Study

The Federal Work Study program is a need-based program that provides opportunities for eligible students to work part time through on-campus employment. Earnings can be used to help pay for the student's cost of attendance at Lincoln Land Community College.

How do I apply for FWS?

Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

How much will I work?

FWS students can work up to 20 hours per week. The hours per week will depend on each students' eligibility and the department need. Students will work in between classes or on days they do not have class. Students cannot work during scheduled class time even if a class is released early or canceled.

How much will I earn?

FWS student employees are paid minimum wage.
