LLCC offers the following program to successfully transition those with a CST to an AAS in surgical technology.
Students can begin the program any semester; however, SGT 220 is a required course and only offered in the fall and spring semesters.
Cost
For the 2025-2026 academic year (fall 2025, spring 2026 and summer 2026), surgical technology (SGT) classes have a tuition rate of $287 per credit hour for in-district residents. All other classes in the program have a standard in-district rate of $143.50 per credit hour. Applications for the surgical technology transition program will be accepted through the second Thursday in June, or until the program is filled. Admission to Lincoln Land Community College does not guarantee acceptance to the program, which begins in the fall.
Students who choose to pursue an applied science degree in surgical technology must meet the minimum criteria to enter the applicant pool.
