Public notice of Title VI program rights

Lincoln Land Community College (LLCC) gives public notice of its policy to uphold and assure full compliance with the nondiscrimination requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related nondiscrimination authorities. Title VI and related nondiscrimination authorities stipulate that no person in the United States of America shall on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, income level or limited English proficiency be excluded from the participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.

Any person who desires more information regarding LLCC's Title VI program can contact its Title VI coordinator at the address noted below.

Any person who believes they have, individually or as a member of any specific class of persons, been subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, income level or limited English proficiency has the right to file a formal or informal complaint in accordance with LLCC Board Policy 1.7: Sexual Harassment, Harassment, and Discrimination. Title VI & VII COVID statement

Lincoln Land Community College (LLCC) remains committed to providing a healthy, equitable learning and working environment. Members of the LLCC community should be aware of the following points:

  1. Harassment and discrimination occurring in the remote environment provided by LLCC (virtual meetings, virtual classrooms, etc.) are strictly prohibited. All policies and procedures relating to expected conduct of students, staff and faculty apply to behaviors that occur between members of the college community, including misconduct that occurs online through virtual interactions. Members of the community are expected to maintain a tone of civility and respect in online classes just as they would if they were physically in class or at work.
  2. All rights and options for those who believe they have experienced harassment or discrimination remain available to the LLCC community through remote methods. Contact information for reporting officials and online reporting forms are listed on this page.
  3. LLCC maintains committed to compliance with all applicable state and federal non-discrimination laws, including but not limited to Title VI & Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972, the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Illinois Human Rights Act. Posting of Title IX team training components

LLCC takes seriously its responsibility to comply with all applicable state and federal non-discrimination laws, including Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1974. § 106.45(b)(1)(iii) & § 106.45(b)(10)(i)(D) of the 2020 Title IX Rule, which became effective on August 14, 2020, provides requirements for the training and posting of training materials used by all members of the Title IX team. All materials used to train the Title IX Coordinator, Deputy Coordinator, Investigators, hearing panel members, and anyone who may facilitate an informal resolution process on Title IX policies and procedures will be posted for review by students, employees, the Department of Education, and the public. In compliance with § 106.45, LLCC provides information regarding relevant training and access to training components below:
