Start at Lincoln Land Community College and transfer almost anywhere, or enter directly into the workforce. LLCC offers training options through degree programs or industry certificates.
After taking a psychology course at LLCC, my interest in the human brain and how it works turned into a passion. My goal above all is to provide the best life I can for my family, and the NDT program offers a way to work toward this goal while enjoying the work itself.
I was lucky to know what I wanted to do, and not very many people do. LLCC is a place where you can explore your interests without breaking the bank. From there, you can go anywhere.
The ADN program at LLCC is tough, yet worth every single minute you put into it. The professors and staff truly put their hearts and souls into teaching. They give you all the tools and support to be successful as an RN.
Over the course of my two years, I became involved in Student Council, the Student Center and worked in the Fine Arts and Education Department. I believe working there, as well as my instructional leaders who taught the education courses, helped start me on the path to success.
I look at it from the student point of view, from where they’re starting, to help them build a foundation in radiography and then expand on that … I always try to break up lecture and have an activity that reinforces the material covered. I’m a visual, hands-on type person, and those are ways of learning that students seem to enjoy.
I know that students need encouragement as well as support from someone to help them find their way and encourage them to take ownership of their future. Therefore, everything I do in class stresses improving the lives of my students and the world where we live.
