TAYLORVILLE — Elizabeth Fines-Workman has been named director of Lincoln Land Community College in Taylorville, located at 800 S. Spresser.
Fines-Workman began her new duties June 30. She previously served as an adjunct communication instructor at LLCC for eight years and worked at a law firm. She was also manager for the Taylorville Park Pool for several years. She earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in communication studies from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.
"I was born and raised in Taylorville, and I am looking forward to building more connections, hosting events for our community and providing the quality education and services that LLCC is known for,” says Fines-Workman.
Fines-Workman will oversee the operations of LLCC-Taylorville, which provides credit and non-credit educational learning opportunities. The outreach center also offers Dual Credit and College Now classes for high school students, along with free GED® preparation and literacy tutoring.
