Building on another college campus

You're considered a transfer student if you've taken credit courses at a college or university other than LLCC.

The checklist below will help you in continuing your educational journey with us.

The first step in earning a degree or certificate from LLCC is to complete the application.

Once you've applied to LLCC, follow the steps below to be fully registered and ready to start attending classes.

Contact your former college to send your transcripts to LLCC. Get info on submitting college transcripts. 

After submitting your application, watch for your LLCC Welcome email for confirmation that you can now activate your account. (Note: Welcome emails are sent on days the college is open. For applications submitted after 1 p.m., this email would arrive the next business day.)

Get instructions to activate your account.

We will send you important notifications via your LLCC email, so you’ll want to be sure to check it regularly. 

Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) can open up access to grants, loans and work-study programs for those who qualify. Use LLCC code 007170.

LLCC Financial Aid offers free, personalized financial aid assistance and help in completing the FAFSA. Email Financial.Aid@llcc.edu or call 217-786-2237 to schedule a one-on-one Zoom meeting with a financial aid advisor.

Also, the Veterans Affairs office at LLCC is available to help those who qualify through the process of using their VA Education Benefits.

For assistance, meet with a student success coach, who can help you select classes, assist with your schedule and determine what you need to graduate.

Once you have completed previous steps, you can register by signing in to LoggerCentral.

Get information on paying tuition and fees, including forms of payment and payment plans.

Books and supplies are available from the LLCC Bookstore. Visit the bookstore online or in-person.

Once you've completed these steps, you are ready to attend class! If you have an online class, you will log in to Canvas.
