A career in welding can take you almost anywhere. Welding is a needed skill in a broad range of industries including aerospace, automotive production, building and bridge construction, commercial diving, farm repair, manufacturing, oil rigs and refineries, power plants, robotics and ship building.

LLCC offers students the opportunity to focus solely on courses in welding while earning a certificate. Students get to train in state-of-the-art facilities available at the Springfield campus and LLCC-Taylorville and are taught by instructors who have worked in a variety of welding environments. Graduates from our program are currently working in the industries of car racing, construction, manufacturing, pipelines and others.

For fall 2023, spring 2024 and summer 2024, welding (WEL) classes (except WEL 102) have a tuition rate of $205.50 per credit hour for in-district residents. WEL 102 has a standard in-district rate of $137 per credit hour. Get more information on tuition and fees.
