Over the course of my two years, I became involved in Student Council, the Student Center and worked in the Fine Arts and Education Department. I believe working there, as well as my instructional leaders who taught the education courses, helped start me on the path to success.
I chose to attend LLCC because I was offered a great scholarship opportunity. My experience at LLCC has been amazing. I feel very encouraged and have access to a great support system. My gratitude goes beyond what words can explain; I am so thankful for everyone who has been a part of my experience so far here at LLCC.
I hope more students will take advantage of the opportunity to graduate from LLCC and high school around the same time and then transfer on ... I am grateful that Taylorville High School allowed me to take college and dual-credit classes, and I am thankful that LLCC provided me with these classes.
While I was a student, I built my support system at LLCC. Now as an enrollment services representative, I tell students they can do the same. There will be challenges, I know, I’ve been there … but with the support here, you can do it!

LLCC has provided me many opportunities to grow as a student and as a leader. Academic resources on campus, such as the Writing Center and office hours with my professors, have made me a more confident student. Being involved on campus as president of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and a student worker have taught me valuable leadership skills that I will use the rest of my life.
