Key Program Features
Exercise science, often referred to as kinesiology, is a field that includes biomechanics, exercise, sport law, sport management, sport economics, sport history, personal training and sport psychology. At LLCC, the exercise and sports science associate degree is designed for those students who are interested in transferring to a four-year school to pursue a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology.
According to the U.S. Department of Labor, in 2017, exercise physiologists made an average median wage of $49,000 per year. It is estimated to grow 13 percent through 2026 which is faster than the average growth of all occupations.

Most courses for the Exercise and Science degree have standard tuition rates. For the 2020-2021 academic year (fall 2020, spring 2021 and summer 2021), these courses have an in-district rate of $133 per credit hour. ESS 107 and ESS 103 have a variable tuition rate for an in-district rate of $163 per credit hour. ESS 112 and ESS 113 have variable tuition rate for an in-district rate of $183.
