Exercise science, often referred to as kinesiology, is a field that includes biomechanics, exercise, sport law, sport management, sport economics, sport history, personal training and sport psychology. At LLCC, the exercise and sports science associate degree is designed for those students who are interested in transferring to a four-year school to pursue a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology.
Job Outlook
According to the U.S. Department of Labor, in 2019, exercise physiologists made an average median wage of $49,170 per year. Employment in this field is estimated to grow 11.3 percent through 2029.

Investment in Your Future
Most courses for the Exercise and Science degree have standard tuition rates. For the 2020-2021 academic year (fall 2020, spring 2021 and summer 2021), these courses have an in-district rate of $133 per credit hour plus standard fees. ESS 103 and ESS 107 also have a fee of $30 per class. ESS 112 and ESS 113 have a fee of $50 per class. Get more information on tuition and fees.
