Program Highlights

Business and industry need electricity and trained professionals to keep it running and safely maintained.

  • Gain hands-on experience in commercial and industrial electrical systems in our advanced equipment labs.
  • Build expertise in AC and DC circuits, AC industrial controls, electronic devices, industrial wiring, circuits and mechatronics.

*Based on 2026-27 in-district student rates. Your actual cost of attendance will vary based on academic years enrolled, cost of attaining a license/certification or credential, books, living arrangements, transportation costs and lifestyle.
**These Estimated Additional Costs include tools and books (prices subject to change). Students are required to have a basic set of tools. If a student uses their own tools (which must match required tool list), the tool cost will be removed from the final cost. Books sold separately.

Build & Wire: Summer Trade Skills Camp

June 1-18, 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday at LLCC-Taylorville

Jump into the world of skilled trades with this hands-on construction and electrical camp. Students gain real experience using professional tools, learning basic wiring and completing woodworking projects, including building their own furniture piece.

  • Camp is limited to 12 students - incoming juniors, seniors and recent grads.
  • Must wear closed-toed shoes and long pants for safety.
