SPRINGFIELD — Lincoln Land Community College is offering free Career Quest camps this summer to introduce students to a variety of professions. Camps will be held in June and July at the Springfield campus.

High school students and recent graduates can explore career pathways in greater depth. The Build & Wire Skills Camp introduces construction and electrical careers, giving participants the opportunity to use professional tools, learn basic wiring and complete a woodworking project. The Hospitality Leadership Launch camp provides behind-the-scenes experiences in hospitality and tourism, showing how great experiences are created.

AgExplorers camp for middle school students offers a hands-on summer program for students interested in plant and animal science, farm mechanics, ag tech and more.

Camp sessions range from four days to three weeks in length.

The free camps are funded through the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act grant and Kreher Farm Perpetual Charitable Trust. More information and registration for the camps can be found online.
