Key Program Features
Acquire hands-on experience to build your skill set for the growing industry of construction trades. LLCC’s program, located at our Taylorville Outreach Center, provides students with practical experience in various facets of the construction trades including blueprint reading, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, wiring and more. Students can earn a certificate or applied science degree. Graduates of our program may work as construction laborers, construction supervisors/foremen, brick masons and construction carpenters.

(Note: In addition to the Residential Construction Certificate of Achievement, an Associate in Applied Science degree is available. Opportunities may vary on the educational level earned.)

Investment in Your Future
For fall 2021, spring 2022 and summer 2022:
- Building maintenance (BDM); air conditioning, refrigeration and heating (ARH); and welding (WEL) courses (except ARH 210 and WEL 102) are $201.75 per credit hour for in-district residents.
- Architecture (ACT) courses are $168.00 per credit hour for in-district residents.
- All other courses in the program have a standard in-district rate of $134.50 per credit hour.
