LLCC Foundation awards four scholarships to Litchfield High School seniors

LITCHFIELD — Lincoln Land Community College awarded scholarships to four Litchfield High School students in honor of Dr. Gregg Fuerstenau, retiring superintendent, Litchfield CUSD #12 and Dr. David Lett, retiring career and technical education coordinator, Litchfield CUSD #12. The scholarships were awarded on May 20 at the South Central Illinois Regional Training and Innovation Center in Litchfield.

Students Hannah Schmidt, Zoe Hopper, Kirsten Gudausky and Johnathan Conlee each received $1,250 in LLCC Foundation scholarships. All four students graduated from Litchfield High School and will be attending Lincoln Land Community College in the fall. 

"Dr. Lett and Dr. Fuerstenau have devoted their careers to student learning and empowerment, and have left an indelible mark on countless lives," said Karen Sanders, vice president of advancement and executive director, LLCC Foundation. "In recognition of their long-standing service and significant contributions to the field of education, the LLCC Foundation is honoring Dr. Lett’s and Dr. Fuerstenau’s legacies with these scholarships."
