SPRINGFIELD — Lincoln Land Community College invites the public to its 21st annual Multicultural Fest Wednesday, Oct. 8. The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Menard Atrium on the Springfield campus, 5250 Shepherd Rd. LLCC Outreach Centers in Jacksonville, Litchfield and Taylorville will also host celebrations. The events are free and open to the public.
The annual Multicultural Fest showcases various cultures through food, entertainment and exhibits.
On the Springfield campus, local food trucks are offering free samples at the event. Restaurants serving from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. include Azteca, B & W Food Truck and the Lumpia Truck.
Entertainment will be provided by DJ Freddy Van, a drum circle, The Greenbriar Flues and Strings and henna body art by Expressions Body Art & Design.
The event will feature a variety of exhibits from both LLCC and the broader community. College exhibits will include the LLCC Logger Activities Board, Adult Education English Language Learning program and Culinary Arts. Community exhibits will represent a diverse range of local organizations and cultural groups.
LLCC Outreach Centers will also host multicultural celebrations with food and activities.

These events are free and open to the public. Multicultural Fest is sponsored by LLCC Student Engagement and Wellbeing.
