SPRINGFIELD — Lincoln Land Community College students Myles Sanders of Virden and Isabella Weisenmeyer of Sherman have had their work accepted into the 2026 Illinois Community College Students Studio Art and Graphic Design Juried Exhibition, which will be on display from Sept. 24 to Oct. 12 at Northeastern Illinois University’s Fine Arts Center Gallery.

Both students are studying integrated media design at LLCC. Sanders’ mixed-media piece, “Abomination,” was created using acrylic paint, pen, graphite and ink. Weisenmeyer’s photographic work is titled, “To Cultivate and Care For.”

“Having student work selected for this highly competitive exhibition is a significant accomplishment,” said Corrine Hinton, dean of humanities, art, communication and English at LLCC. “Myles and Isabella have demonstrated exceptional creativity, technical skill and dedication to their craft. We are excited to see their talents recognized alongside some of the best student artists from community colleges across Illinois.”

The gallery, located at 5500 North St. Louis Avenue in Chicago, is open Mondays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday-Fridays from noon to 4 p.m.
