Henson Robinson Company is a long-standing leader in central Illinois, with a legacy rooted in craftsmanship, service and innovation. 

Founded in 1861, the company began by supplying tinware to Union soldiers during the Civil War, quickly establishing a reputation that would grow into more than 160 years of industry leadership. Today, Henson Robinson continues to provide comprehensive mechanical and plumbing services to commercial, industrial and institutional clients across the region.

Through its partnership with Lincoln Land Community College (LLCC), Henson Robinson plays an active role in preparing the next generation of skilled professionals. The company supports student success through internships, workforce training initiatives and engagement with LLCC’s MC3 program and HVACR pathways in partnership with Plumbers, Steamfitters & HVACR Local 137. Students also benefit from facility tours and direct exposure to real-world industry environments.

This partnership is further strengthened by alumni leadership. Joe Kulek, president and CFO, is an LLCC alum, former student-athlete and past LLCC Foundation Board member. He was also among the industry leaders who helped shape the vision for the LLCC Construction program, demonstrating a long-standing commitment to aligning education with workforce needs.
