A legacy of quality and community: M.J. Kellner Foodservice and LLCC alumni

For more than a century, M.J. Kellner Foodservice has served Central Illinois with top-quality food, equipment, and supplies while upholding the Kellner family’s longstanding values of integrity, loyalty, and service. Now a 100% employee-owned company, M.J. Kellner continues to thrive as the region’s only locally owned, independent foodservice distributor. 

Looking to the future, M.J. Kellner is expanding its commitment to excellence through a new collaboration with Lincoln Land Community College. Beginning in May 2026, the company’s Foodservice Equipment Division, led by Tom Rader, will welcome two new food service equipment technicians who will earn their HVACR certification through LLCC’s Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration program. These technicians will support customers in new ways by installing, maintaining, modifying, and repairing commercial foodservice equipment. 

By engaging directly with LLCC to recruit outstanding graduates, M.J. Kellner is investing not only in its workforce but also in the continued growth of local talent.
