A legacy of strength: The Selvaggio Steel, Inc. Scholarship
For the past decade, Mark and Tony Selvaggio have invested in the future of LLCC students in many ways including but not limited to the Selvaggio Steel, Inc. Scholarship. Established in 2015, this scholarship supports students enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours per semester in a customized applied technology or welding program with a preference for residents of Sangamon County. Thanks to the generosity of the Selvaggio family, aspiring trades professionals have gained opportunities to learn, grow and succeed.
"Selvaggio Steel was built on hard work, craftsmanship, and a commitment to community. Supporting LLCC students honors that legacy and ensures that skilled trades continue to thrive in our region and beyond,” said Mark and Tony Selvaggio.
As a second-generation, family-owned firm founded in 1957, the company has become renowned across Illinois for its technical precision, leadership in structural and ornamental steel fabrication, and its commitment to innovation through cutting-edge computer-aided detailing and automation. That same dedication to excellence extends beyond their craft, leaving a lasting mark on LLCC students and the community.
