How did your LLCC experience help you to find your first position or career path?
My experience at LLCC gave me the confidence and foundation to pursue engineering at a higher level. The small class sizes and supportive professors helped me strengthen my problem-solving and communication skills, while hands-on coursework sparked my interest in how science and technology can directly improve people’s lives. Those early experiences guided me toward biomedical engineering and inspired me to combine research and industry work to make a tangible impact on healthcare.
What’s your favorite or most unforgettable memory of being a Logger?
One of my favorite memories from LLCC was during my very first class, PSY 101 with Professor Keith Huddleston, the summer before my sophomore year of high school. On the last day of class, after finishing the final exam, he told me he wouldn’t be surprised if he saw my name in the news one day for curing cancer. His words gave me the confidence to believe in my potential and pursue a career in biomedical engineering. Six years later, I still think about that conversation and how his encouragement continues to inspire me, especially when classes and research get challenging.
Describe your LLCC experience in five words.
Inspiration. Confidence. Mentorship. Growth. Purpose.
