Join LLCC to watch the solar eclipse, including a livestream from Professor Samantha Reif, and for pre-event activities.

Enjoy trivia, music and outer space-themed snacks while waiting for the solar eclipse to begin. Activities will take place from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the A. Lincoln Commons. Community organizations will also have exhibits and activities available.

The solar eclipse stages will be viewable around 2-2:30 p.m. Approved solar eclipse viewing glasses will be provided to participants (while supplies last). Samantha Reif, professor of geology, will be providing a livestream video of the eclipse from Du Quoin, Illinois.

The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
