LLCC Outreach Centers host Workforce Institute Showcases

Lincoln Land Community College Outreach Centers in Litchfield and Jacksonville will host Workforce Institute Showcases and addtional resources to help attendees take the next step in their educational journeys.

LLCC-Litchfield

Jan. 21, 2026

5-7 p.m. Workforce Programs Showcase – Attendees can look at workforce programs that can lead to high-demand careers. LLCC’s Workforce Institute directors and dean will be onsite to discuss programs like: CDL (truck driving), aviation maintenance, diesel and automotive technologies, industrial maintenance (advanced manufacturing), commercial electrical maintenance, construction occupations, hospitality and culinary, HVACR (heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration) and welding. The showcase is open to everyone.

5:30 p.m. College Now Event – Current high school sophomores, juniors and their parents/guardians are invited to learn about earning college credit while in high school through College Now. The event will cover what to expect from a college class and provide information on tuition and financial options.

Register for one or both of the events at www.llcc.edu/litchfield. LLCC-Litchfield is located at 1 Lincoln Land Drive, Litchfield. The center is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.to 5 p.m. 

LLCC-Jacksonville

2-5:30 p.m., Financial Aid Completion – Get the guidance you need to complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA.) Students and parents can work with knowledgeable staff to ensure their FAFSA is submitted accurately and on time. Appointments are strongly encouraged, but walk-ins will be accepted as availability allows.

4:30-5:30 p.m., Community Scholarship Night – Attendees can visit an exhibit area with local community organizations providing information on various scholarships. Participating organizations include the LLCC Foundation, Cass-Morgan Farm Bureau Foundation, Jacksonville Promise, NAACP, Rotary Foundation, Morgan County Sheriff’s Scholarship, The Job Center/West Development Council (WIOA Funding) and more. Representatives from the LLCC Foundation will be available to answer questions and provide LLCC scholarship application assistance from 3-5:30 p.m.
