LLCC honors recipients of 2021 Distinguished Service Awards

Recognizes service anniversaries and retirees

SPRINGFIELD — Lincoln Land Community College honored recipients of the 2021 Distinguished Service Awards, employees with service anniversaries and retirees during Employee Recognition Week May 3-7.

The college awarded the 2021 Distinguished Service Awards to individuals who demonstrate exemplary leadership and service to the college community, promote a student-focused environment and exhibit a strong commitment to the college’s core values. Distinguished Service Award recipients were Cindy Burger of New Berlin, administrative assistant to the dean, English and humanities; Angie Gum-Miller of Springfield, professor of mathematics; John Freml of Springfield, adjunct instructor, humanities and German; Kim Eddings of Springfield, accessibility services coordinator; and Bryan Gleckler of Springfield, vice president, administrative services.

Honored for their 30-year service anniversaries were Peter Embalabala of Athens, professor of mathematics, and Ron Riggle of Springfield, director, athletics.

Employees honored for their 25-year service anniversaries were Dr. Carmen Allen of Springfield, professor of computer science; Dr. Colette D’Cruz-Endeley of Springfield, professor of economics; Angie Gum-Miller, professor of mathematics; Brendan Lee of Taylorville, community service officer; Megan McCann of Harvel, database and financial reporting analyst; Dr. Richard Monke of Springfield, professor of mathematics; Nicole Ralph of Riverton, associate vice president, human resources; Dr. Michael Ramm of Springfield, professor of chemistry; Lawrence Strubhart of Pleasant Plains, horticulturist; and Scott Woodrum of Springfield, grounds maintenance worker.

Twenty-year service honorees were Dave Cox of Petersburg, professor of biology; John Gaston of Ashland, mechanical maintenance technician; Bobbi Henry of Riverton, research and analytics manager; Lara Marshall of Sherman, financial aid coordinator; Susan McClintock of Springfield, professor of mathematics; Alison Mills of Pawnee, director, financial aid; Barb Mustered of Easton, academic services assistant; Laurie Myers of Springfield, writing center professional; Sandy Niemann of Hillsboro, budget coordinator; Jim Pierce of Virden, professor of engineering; Dr. Mark Roehrs of Springfield, professor of history; Thom Whalen of Springfield, professor of art; and Karla Wilham of Williamsville, information technology specialist.
